Overview
Use this service to request the creation of a shared Mailbox. A Shared Mailbox is a separate mailbox that multiple users can be given access to and can read and send email messages, e.g. A customer service email provided to external users to submit requests.
Note: A Shared Mailbox is not a distribution list. To request a distribution list, please see related services at the bottom of this page.

How we process your request
Typical resolution time:
1-3 business days
Process:
After you submit your request, IT will:
- Review the request
- Contact you for additional information, if necessary
- Create the new Shared Mailbox
- Send a closeout notification upon resolution
Before you submit a ticket, you will need to:
- Notate the list of users that will have access to the mailbox
- Provide chargeback account number for the license
Note: Please consult with your fiscal team and department head for approval before making the request.
