Setting Up Microsoft Authentication on Your Phone

Overview

How to use multi-factor authentication to gain access to County resources through Citrix Remote (cloud.pascocountyfl.net), Cisco AnyConnect VPN, or Microsoft 365 Products.

Instructions 

  1. Browse to Office.com and click on Log On in the upper right-hand corner. You will be redirected to the County’s log on page where it will collect more info to get Multifactor Authentication set up on your mobile device. Click Next.

  1. Enter in the same credentials you would use to log into your workstation/laptop. Click Sign In.

  1. Next, you’ll be redirected to the Microsoft Authenticator setup page. If you don’t have Microsoft Authenticator already installed on your phone, please go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the app. If you already have MS Authenticator installed on your phone, Click Next and proceed to step 5.

  1. In the Apple App Store, click Get. In Google Play, click on Install.

  1. Once the app is installed on your mobile device go back to the window on your computer and click Next. A QR code will be presented. Scan this with the MS Authenticator app.Uploaded ImageUploaded Image
     
  2. To scan the QR code, open the MS Authenticator app on your phone, and click the Accept button. On an iPhone, click Scan a QR Code. On an Android, click Work or School account then choose Scan a QR code. Now scan the code in the window on your computer.

  1. Once done, you should get a success message on the screen, and click Done.

  1. Now in the mobile app you should see your County MS Authenticator account.

  1. Any time you need to gain access to County resources through Citrix Remote (cloud.pascocountyfl.net), Cisco AnyConnect VPN, or Microsoft 365 Products, you will be prompted for your username and password, and then the multifactor authentication push will appear on your phone as a notification. Click on the notification, and then click Approve, and you will gain access to the County resources.

  1. AnyConnect users will now connect to either of these options. It needs to be manually typed in the first time using it:
  • connectnp.pascocountyfl.net/BOCC_NPR_MS (for NPR users)
  • connectdc.pascocountyfl.net/BCC_DC_MS (for DC users)

Note: old profiles will no longer work with Azure MFA.
